Proverbs 29:18   (KJV)

“Where there is no vision, the people perish:.”

Have you ever known anyone who lacks self-confidence and is afraid to try and pursue a dream? Have you seen that person’s spirit wither?

Not all people are fortunate to grow up with parents that bless them with their mouths by encouraging them and supporting them even in failure.  Afterall we all fail but that does not mean we are failures.  We learn from our mistakes.

Proverbs 10:11 King James Version (KJV) “The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life.”

People that grow up with others who are constantly ridiculing them oftentimes learn to believe they cannot.  They lose the ability to dare to dream or have a vision.  They believe they are incapable of producing any good thing.

As physical and spiritual parents we should use our mouth for encouragement and to express God’s love to others.  To encourage people to try and support them as they learn what works and does not.

This will help others become self-confident and not be fearful of pursuing God’s purpose for their lives.

As Proverbs 23:7 (KJV) states “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

Dear God, please help people see themselves as you see them, let them feel your love, and see that you will always walk with them.  That you see them as perfect, beloved and “equipped for every good work.”  2nd Timothy 3:17 (NASB)

There is an old hymn that addresses this Be Thou My Vision.

Committing our life to Christ and His heavenly Father rebirths our spirit.  Christ encourages us to have faith in Him and his Holy Spirit will teach us that “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”  Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

Holy Spirit help us to walk out our lives without fear, encourage us to reach our potential and give us God centered goals to attain.
