Hate and intolerance are rampant in the United States today. It is evident in how citizens treat each other and how members of Congress and government treat each other. There is little civility and little room for acceptance of others’ views. Hubris is at the core of many people. 2 Timothy 3:1-3 “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,”

Christians and Abrahams descendants were not called to walk like this.

Ephesians 4:1-6 New American Standard Bible 1995 “4 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.”

Ephesians 4:17-20 New American Standard Bible 1995 “17 So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; 19 and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20 But you did not learn Christ in this way,”

I would like to address Jew’s descendants of Abraham here. Today, in my estimation, roles are reversed. While Gentiles walked in the futility of their minds in the days of the early apostles natural Jews today walk in the futility of their minds, not acknowledging God as he was revealed to Moses and the Israelites who walked out of Egypt. Today some gentiles are adopted, Jews grafted in through Christ, and there are non-believing Jews and non-believing gentiles walking as gentiles. How many Jews in the United States Congress today follow the Ten Commandments? Look at how they conducted themselves between 2016 and 2021. The ninth commandment states “9“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” https://www.the-ten-commandments.org/the-ten-commandments.html

Hate consumed many Jews in Congress as well as those confessing to be Christian.

Matthew 5:43-48 (NASB 1995) “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

Unforgiveness is not of God. Unforgiveness robs us of peace and consumes us with bitterness and anger. Ephesians 4:31-32 New American Standard Bible 1995 “31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
