Satan’s grand delusion is to keep you from knowing Jesus and the Father. You see Satan wanted to be God. He cannot because God is all powerful and all knowing. So Satan strives to deceive people into believing that God isn’t real, or if He is that is love and mercy is insufficient to forgive all sin.

God’s love and mercy can forgive all sin. There is one stipulation. That you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. What does that mean?

Do you claim to be a Christian? Do you read and take His word to heart? Or does it really mean nothing to you? Do you choose to follow your plans for your life rather than God’s (Yahweh’s) plan for you? After all, “God loves me and I rely on His grace to get me through.”

Really!

Man cannot work his way into God’s presence in heaven. It is by grace through the blood of Jesus on the cross that paid for our way to God. He bore stripes that shredded his skin. He wore a crown of thorns pressed into his head. He died an agonizing death on the cross for you and me. When he died, He totally surrendered His will to that of his Father (Yahweh.) He trusted him to raise him on the third day. His Father was faithful. He then ascended into heaven seated at the right hand of the Father. He is waiting on his Father’s instructions to return to earth. He will not come this time as a suffering servant but as a conquering king.

“30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” Matthew 12:30 King James Version

Do you know what it means to be a Christ follower?

Like Jesus who surrendered His will to the point of death in obedience to the Father we are to surrender our will to the Father following Jesus’ example.

God says “15 “Those who hate the Lord would pretend obedience to Him, And their time of punishment would be forever.”  Psalm 81:15 New American Standard Bible 1995

Before you can be a Christ follower you must know what that means. The only way to know that is to read God’s word, the Bible. It is important to read it not just as mere words on a page but through the eyes of the Holy Spirit which will lead you into all truth. “15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15 King James Version

“5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.” Romans 8:5-9 New American Standard Bible 1995

The Lord says of His enemies “5 All day long they [a]distort my words; All their [b]thoughts are against me for evil.”  Psalm 56:5 New American Standard Bible 1995

“4 For the word of the Lord is upright, And all His work is done in faithfulness. 5 He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord.” Psalm 33:4-5 New American Standard Bible 1995

God knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. Speaking of the prophet Jeremiah God said “5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 New American Standard Bible King David said “For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will give thanks to You, because [a]I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. 15 My [b]frame was not hidden from You When I was made in secret, And skillfully formed in the depths of the earth; 16 Your eyes have seen my formless substance; And in Your book were written All the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.” Psalm 139:13-16 New American Standard Bible

God knew you before He made you. Your days were written in a book. God provided for you. God loves you! Yet He gave you free will to decide if you want to know Him. Only during your journey through time can you decide what God and Jesus mean to you

You are a person made up of three parts: body, soul, spirit. Your soul and spirit are eternal. The body you now have will, later, be replaced with a new body. The new body will be joined to your soul and spirit. This new body will be like Christ’s body at His resurrection.

God is not only a God of love and mercy, but also of justice and righteousness. All people will be judged for what they do in the flesh during their journey through time. “9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.” 2 Corinthians 5:9-11 New King James Version

The blood of Christ takes away our sin, so we are acceptable to the Father, “but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 NASB

It is only through the blood of Christ that we have eternal life. Just like the blood applied to the door posts of God’s children in Egypt protected them from the death angel so the blood of Jesus applied to our hearts keeps us from the second death and grants us eternal life.

There is an eternal hell and eternal heaven. Where you will reside in eternity is up to you. Jesus said “6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 New American Standard Bible
