Today I was watching Joni’s Table Talk with guest Jimmy Evans discussing I am the Enemy.  The discussion centered about believers and how some do not believe in Satan while others do.  During the discussion it was mentioned that Satan is an unseen enemy.  This led me to think about how Covid19 is an unseen enemy, to the naked eye, but it is real.  Just like Covid19, Satan is also unseen.  That does not mean that both do not exist, they do.

 Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

How many times do we sin and try to overcome that sin in our own strength?  Yet we cannot overcome it.  It is a war we must win, but to do so we need the power of the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 King James Version (KJV)

3 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

There are many demons out there, the underlings of Satan.  Fear, alcoholism, addictions in many forms are just some. These demons keep us from living up to the potential God has for us.

1Peter 5:7-9 New American Standard Bible (NASB) states 7 “casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.”

Gods will for us is freedom from slavery.  We can be a slave to hatred, bitterness, unforgiveness, and anger to name a few.  His freedom lightens our load.  We can feel the deliverance from these bondages in our spirit and physical body.  Deliverance brings relaxation to our muscles. We feel the uptightness in our spirit leave and peace come in its place.

Satan’s ultimate deception is to have people not believe in Jesus.

John 1:10-14 “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

“11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Jesus died for us, and he rose again ascended into heaven and will return.  Our sins are wiped out by his blood.  He sent the Holy Spirit to abide in us and give us power.  Power to live our lives for him as he has purposed.  If you have not given your life to Christ but want to all you have to do is say the following prayer.  Dear Father please forgive my sins and cover me with the blood of Jesus.  From now on please help me to live my life for you.  Give me the Holy Spirit to help me and guide me.  Amen.
